WINTER REC LEAGUE

Our Rec league is geared to introduce our younger players to volleyball and/or being coached and to allow our older players a space to play and compete while not committing to a full season of travel. 

FORMAT:

Wednesday evenings : 
5:15-6:45pm : 3rd - 6th grade Team Practice
7:00-8:30pm : 7-10th grade Team Practice

Parents/Guardians may stay, but they refrain from coaching or communicating with athletes during practice. Each team will work on skill improvement in a focused and age appropriate environment. 

For our younger session (3-6th grade) our focus is the love of the game, so we will be doing fun drills, and getting them into a competitive environment. 

For our older session (7th-10th grade) our focus is skill development and personal accountability through coaching.

Saturday competition (Best 2 of 3, matches to 25, 3rd to 15) 
Time varies and will be scheduled once registrations closes.
Start times will be 8:30, 9:30 and 10:30am for matches

We invite parents and supporters to join and cheer on their players and teams. The core values of MidShore Volleyball Club are Heart, Hustle and Humble. This is REQUIRED of all fans at all of our events. We do not allow yelling, degrading or coaching from the stands to players or coaches at any event we host or attend.

Players will learn to work the matches by scoring, line judging and down reffing. This will help increase their game IQ just like if they were in a tournament for our travel teams.

Our season will end with a tournament style competition on March 1, 2024 with each team being ranked from the season and competing in a tournament style day! We hope to have enough teams in each session to allow for a fun competitive day to showcase all they have learned!
